This aluminum tele scratch plate and control plate were made from 1.5 mm thick aluminum. Aluminum plate was cut into form and then we applied the high quality image of an old map onto the shiny aluminum plate using our proprietary technology. The old map guard has a reflective surface that shifts between champagne gold, deeper gold and copper tones when the pickguard (guitar) moves. The photos were taken in different lighting settings to show the differences in warm vs. cold light, and with photo lights reflected on its surface vs. shots without this kind of reflection. It catches the light beautifully and changes its look when you move it!
This luxurious pickguard is also sturdy and durable. It will last you for a very long time (may even outlive the guitar). Furthermore, aluminum improves your sound quality. Apart from neutralizing unpleasant humming and buzzing, it also adds brightness. Your sound is better defined, with more bite and more twang. And most of us love tele guitars precisely for their “twanginess”-is that even a word, LOL?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept returns if the pickguard you purchased doesn’t fit your guitar. That’s why it’s very IMPORTANT that you carefully look at the image with screw distance measurements and compare it with your guitar or existing pickguard, to ensure that it fits.
