This aluminum strat scratch plate was made from 1.50 mm thick aviation-grade aluminum. Aluminum plate was cut into form and engraved in a special chemical process which gave it texture. Then it was painted in black and “painted” again using sanding, buffing and polishing techniques to make it beautifully aged and relic’d.
It is protected with 2 coats of clear satin varnish.
This strat pickguard is durable and scratch resistant. It will last you for a long time (may even outlive the guitar). Furthermore, aluminum improves your sound quality. Apart from neutralizing unpleasant humming and buzzing, it also adds brightness. Your sound is better defined, with more bite and more twang.
