This paisley Les Paul pickguard set was made from high quality 1mm thick 100% solid brass. Brass plate was cut into shape, sanded and lightly polished. Then a beautiful Paisley pattern was engraved and aged in a special chemical process, but in a very interesting way – so that the high copper content in this brass alloy came out onto the surface, giving it a gorgeous pinkish copper finish.

Each aged Gibson Les Paul pickguard historic set is made from 1mm thick 100% solid brass. The brass plate is precision cut, carefully sanded, and lightly polished before the engraving process begins. A detailed paisley pattern is then engraved into the surface and aged using a controlled chemical method that brings the copper content of the brass alloy to the surface.
